Media

The International Hydropower Association (IHA) is accrediting representatives of authorised media organisations to cover the International Forum on Pumped Storage Hydropower. Accredited media will receive a complimentary event badge, but only accredited individuals are eligible. Accreditation requirements vary for different types of media:

  • Print media: Must publish regularly (at least quarterly), have a minimum of 2,500 subscribers, and include paid advertisements. Acceptable roles include editors, reporters, writers, and staff photographers. Freelancers need proof of assignment.
  • Broadcast media: Includes TV and radio networks covering political, business or financial news. Roles include anchors, reporters, producers, and technical staff.
  • Online media: Must focus on policy, business, clean energy, renewables, or hydropower, with regularly updated content (at least weekly), supported by advertising or subscriptions.

Personal or enthusiast sites are not eligible. The IHA reserves the right to grant provisional status to individuals performing journalistic tasks as approved by the organisation. Media are encouraged to apply in advance for smoother check-in and guaranteed entry.

If you meet the criteria, please email the IHA Communications team: communications@hydropower.org.

Your application will be reviewed and if successful, you will be contacted by the IHA Communications team within three days of submitting your application.
