Planning, permitting and building for climate resilience with the Hydropower Sustainability Standard

This session will examine the intersection of energy and river system planning with project-level assessment under the Hydropower Sustainability Standard. A system-scale approach helps evaluate hydropower options to minimise river ecosystem impacts while balancing stakeholder objectives. This provides a strong foundation for identifying projects that meet the Hydropower Sustainability Standard’s rigorous sustainability criteria. Lessons learned and future applications will be discussed.
